Kent County Road Commission managing director elected vice president of statewide local road association

LANSING, MI – Kent County Road Commission (KCRC) managing director, Steven A. Warren, has been elected the new County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan’s vice president at the organization’s 2016 Highway Conference.

“Steve has a rich and strong history in road systems in Kent County and has been an excellent asset to the CRA board since he was elected to it in 2013. He will be a good addition to our Executive Committee,” said Denise Donohue, CRA’s executive director.

Warren has been involved at KCRC for 28 years. Last year, he was re-elected to a one-year term on CRA’s board of director’s. His background also includes leadership in Kent County and as a founding member of the statewide Transportation Asset Management Council.

In addition to Warren, the managing director at the Ionia County Road Commission (ICRC), Dorothy G. Pohl, CPA, was re-elected as secretary-treasurer for the CRA board of directors. Pohl has served as secretary-treasurer to the board since 2013 and also served as a board director from 2001 to 2008. Pohl has worked with the ICRC for over 20 years.

Along with Warren and Pohl, Marquette County engineer-manager, James M. Iwanicki, PE, was elected president of the CRA board.

The 83 members of the County Road Association represent the unified, credible and effective voice for a safe and efficient local road system in Michigan, collectively managing more than 73 percent of all roads in the state– more than 90,000 miles and 5,700 bridges— the fourth-largest county road system in the nation.
