Welcome to my April newsletter!

It's been a long time since the last newsletter and a lot has happened since! My husband Jonathan has come on board permanently and now looks after the shop and orders as well as creating our 'How to' instructional videos (more on these below!). We have moved location up to the North of Nottinghamshire giving us more space and enabling us to concentrate on the shop which now has over 300 items in stock! I am teaching regularly in the beautiful surroundings of Lincoln Castle and last year we launched our first Distance Learning class which has proved to be very popular (we are now taking rolling bookings for this so if you are interested you can join anytime!). Check out the links below to see where I'm teaching, have a browse in our shop and why not join me on social media for all the very latest and lots of inspiration (click the buttons above)?

A trip across the pond!
Last year I had the pleasure of a teaching in America once again and flew out to Denver, Colorado, in September to teach at the Botanic Gardens. You can see us above working on an Elizabethan blackwork project in the beautiful classrooms in the garden surrounded by lots of amazing flora and fauna. Following this I flew to Los Angeles to join Lucy Barter and Forever Embroidery Studio onboard the wonderful ship RMS Queen Mary, now permanently docked in Long Beach, for a stitching retreat! We had seven wonderful days of designing, stitching, lectures, socailising and making new friends.

A commission
Last summer, along with Caroline Homfray, we made this replica standard of the 105th Regiment captured from Napolean at the Battle of Waterloo to commomorate the 200th Anniversay of the battle. Along with a replica of the 45th, the standard was carried all the way from Belgium to London where it was laid at the feet of HRH Princess Anne.
