Apply to the European Drugs Summer School by 30 May


The European summer school on ‘Illicit drugs in Europe: demand, supply and public policies’ (EDSS) 2016 will take place for the fourth time in Lisbon from 26 June to 8 July.

Don't miss the deadline!

During the two-week programme, renowned keynote speakers (see below for more details), EMCDDA scientific experts, ISCTE professors and policymakers will give participants the information they need in order to meet the complex policy challenges of the European drug situation.

EDSS class of 2016: our students so far

Renowned speakers

Among the several renowned speakers, the newly elected Director, Alexis Goosdeel will welcome the students and provide an overview on the future EMCDDA program. The President of the International Narcotics Control Board, Werner Sipp, will give a speech on the global drug control system and Keith Humphreys, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford will provide his insights on evidence-based policy. Also, Prof. Robert West (University College London), Dr. Owen Bowden-Jones (Imperial College) and Dr. João Goulão (Portugal General-Directorate for Intervention on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies) have confirmed their attendance.
