The Retrofit Academy has secured government funding to cover much of the cost for local authorities (100% of course fees) and supply chain/SMEs (66% of course fees) but the funding is ONLY available to organisations based in the following areas: Aylesbury Vale, Bucks County, Cherwell, Chiltern, Cotswold, London Borough of Ealing, Milton Keynes, South Bucks District, South Oxfordshire, Three Rivers, Vale of White Horse, Watford Borough, West Berkshire, West Oxfordshire and Wycombe.
PV deployment takes a nosedive
Statistics released by DECC show that new deployment of PV in February was only 11MW (3,500 installations) compared to previous February’s figure of c150MW.

Ambitious plan to “hugely cut carbon emissions overnight”
DECC plans to meet with industry to discuss a plan for reducing carbon emissions by replacing LPG with biopropane in homes that are off gas grid.

Domestic wood use baseline established
DECC publishes the summary results of its domestic wood use survey, which was undertaken to establish a 2014 baseline.

Smart meter roll-out update
