Call for Proposals: One Health Research Projects

Do you have an idea for a One Health research project? Submit a two-page research project proposal for presentation at a One Health Workshop on Tuesday, October 4. The workshop will focus on 4-6 projects, with the objective of assisting teams to develop proposals for future grant submission. Selected teams will receive support before and after the workshop to develop successful grant proposals.

Proposals must address one of the four main areas of One Health:
  • Zoonotic and environmentally-induced diseases
  • Diseases shared by humans and other animals (e.g., cancer, heart disease, obesity, arthritis)
  • Challenges and solutions at the intersection of humans, animals, and the environment
  • Human-animal interactions.
For more information, and to submit your proposal, please contact John Castellot, PhD, Tufts CTSI Navigator. The deadline for proposals is Monday, May 9.

Tips for Managing Your Research Data

Need to manage your research and clinical study data? Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is a free, HIPAA-compliant, web-based software available to researchers and study team members at all Tufts CTSI partner institutions. To request an account, please complete our online form and be sure to select REDCap Database Account.

Already familiar with REDCap? Here are our latest tips:
  • Using the "automated invitations" feature, you can schedule to send your survey at a specific date and time, as well as based on a specific response to a previous form or survey.
  • If you add a calculated field after collecting the data used in the calculation, you will need to re-save the form containing the calculation. This will trigger REDCap to perform the calculation and populate the field.
Ready to get started? Log into REDCap here.
When you develop a device or measurement, how do you know if it will be cost-effective once it's adopted into widespread practice? Did you know we connect researchers to cost-effectiveness experts to strengthen grant proposals? For help with cost-effectiveness or other aspects of your study, please submit a request.
