THIS SUNDAY: MISSION IN MADAGASCAR
On Sunday we will be joined in worship by Elizabeth and Dan Turk, our PC(USA) Mission Co-Workers in Madagascar. Dan and Elizabeth work as advisors to the PC(USA)'s partner church, FJKM, in the fields of environment and health, respectively. Dan works with FJKM to help people improve their lives while living more in harmony with creation. Elizabeth helps the staff of FJKM health department design and implement a community health program. Following worship, the Turks will offer a slide show presentation appropriate for all ages in the conference room.

YOUTH GROUP
The youth group meets again this Sunday evening at 6:00 for recreation, conversation and prayer.

INSTALLATION OF THE REV. PETER JONES
Ruling Elder Leslie Mardenborough, Moderator of the Hudson River Presbytery, and Pastor Jeff will be participating in the Installation Service of the Rev. Pete Jones to our near neighbor, the Hitchcock Presbyterian Church in Scarsdale on Sunday afternoon at 4:00. As we do much in mission with the Hitchcock congregation (the Thrift Shop, ESL, Midnight Run), those interested in attending will be more than welcomed.

Coming soon...

THE SPRING TAG SALE IS COMING ... APRIL 29-30
As you start your spring cleaning, set aside your gently used and clean / sale-able items and bring them to church before April 3. Recycling perfectly good items within the community through the tag sale is both
GREEN AND GENEROUS. We also need your help. Please share at least one hour of your time during the week of the sale.
  • Set up: Tuesday - Thursday April 25- April 28,  9:30-noon
  • Work the Sale : Friday & Saturday. April 29-April 30, 9:00 – 3:00
  • Clean Up: Saturday, April 30, 3:00 - 4:30. Many hands make light work. We especially need some younger strong arms and legs for this.

THE MIDNIGHT RUN IS LESS THAN THREE WEEKS AWAY - APRIL 30, 9 PM
This past Sunday, Susan de George and Kathy Dean shared powerful stories about their experiences with Midnight Run (or should we call it the "nine-o-clock and home-by-one" run? Many were inspired to sign up to either provide food or t drive it into Manhattan. But we still need a few donations. A complete list of what is needed, and how you can help, is available HERE (scroll to the bottom). You can sign up on the Mission Board outside the library, or email Kathy Dean and ask how you can help.

THE BEATITUDES: AN COURSE FOR ADULTS
On Sundays April 24 and May 1, Dr. Barbara Horan will lead a two part bible study on the first part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Based on the thoughtful and thought-provoking book by Princeton Professor George Hunsinger.

In Mission...

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE THIS FRIDAY
Our monthly blood drive will take place this Friday, April 15, from 12:30-5:30 in the Church House. The American Red Cross is the nation’s largest blood collection organization, supplying approximately 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country. The need is constant. The gratification is instant. Give the Gift of Life.

CONGRATULATIONS TO AUGUST GEARY
April is National Volunteer Month and Greenburgh Nature Center has proudly featuring August as one of their "star volunteers"

"His family symbolically adopted one of our goats last year and August has been volunteering to help care for all of our barn animals ever since. He helps feed, groom, and care for them with heartfelt enthusiasm. August has a particular interest in our goats, Linden and Locust, and was proud to make them subjects of his science project. He learned about how to tell if your goats are healthy and even answers questions that our guests have! We asked him why he likes to volunteer at Greenburgh Nature Center and he said, 'Because I get to be with my best friends: the goats.'"

CONGRATULATIONS JANE EL KHOURY
Last evening Jane El Khoury participated in the "String Extravaganza" at Harrison High School, featuring 375 students from four elementary schools, the middle school, and the high school. Jane played "Ode to Joy" and "Happy Dance," "Eleanor Rigby," "War Drums," and "Old McDonald" on the violin.
