A Message From Our Director
Our ministry of placing children’s Bibles in the hands of thousands children continues. This Easter an additional 13,000 children’s Bibles were given away, which so far makes a total of 28,000 children’s Bibles given away to the children in elementary schools all around Croatia! We are so thankful to Eastern European Mission for partnering with us in this project. Please pray for all those receiving these Bibles and for all included in this project.
Like was mentioned in a previous newsletter, Biblijski institut needs to publish materials such as textbooks, teaching and training materials, and other books. Right now there is an urgent need to translate, print, and publish four textbooks. The Institute has received publishing permission from the copyright holders of all four books, but we do not have the funds to publish them! The average cost of completing the process for each book is $2,400. We need the help of our partners in this. Please see the information below (Central European Christian Education Foundation) about how you can contribute. Mark your contribution “For Books.”

Accreditation News
In November, Director Tom Sibley and Academic Dean Stanko Jambrek attended the annual International Consultation for Theological Educators, which was organized in Antalya, Turkey by ICETE. All the major players in global, theological education and training were there. Among the more than 400 participants were representatives from all the various accreditation entities for theological education. Following this conference, in February we received a formal candidacy visit by the EEAA accreditation committee.

The visit was very successful and we are expecting their formal decision on our candidacy status later in April.
Together with EEAA accreditation, we pursue steps necessary to submit papers for accreditation by the Croatian Ministry of Education. Please be praying for this process as right now we are pioneers in it and there are many challenges in front of us.

Speaking to representatives of Protestant religious communities, the President said that Reformation Day is a celebration of the reformation tradition that is deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual heritage of a large part of Europe. After the meeting, the President was presented with a ceremonial copy of the Gideon Bible, which has celebrated its millionth copy in the Croatian language.
