APRIL EDITION 2016
Hi <<First Name>>

Welcome to the April edition of The Slice. This is the first edition of The Slice for 2016. The Slice is our monthly publication and is published during the off season. It replaces My Mango which is our weekly publication that is disturbed every Monday during the harvest season.

From the team at AMIA

Freezing Tips Articles

Over the past few weeks, digital influencers and publications have received mango freezing tips to share with their community, driving readers to purchase mangoes whilst they're still in season and helping them to enjoy mangoes long after the season has ended.

Lindey Milan discussed the freezing tips during her segment on the Lunchtime Lowdown with Clinton Maynard on 2UE radio, which you can listen to here from 4:23mins. They were also shared in a beautiful blog post by Mummahh, along with three delicious recipes inspiring readers to get creative with mangoes right up until end of the season.

Additionally, a refreshing mango popsicle recipe was published in Daily Telegraph's Best Weekend newspaper, whilst Good Health magazine inspired their readers to get baking with a coconut, lime and mango loaf recipe.

Instagram & Facebook Season Overview

The Aussie Mangoes Instagram page has now officially wrapped activity for the season and the results are in: overall, there were 398 images published between September 2015 and March 2016, which received a massive 28,953 likes and comments. The audience received 2,021 new followers, representing a growth of 515.6% throughout the season. We consistently saw @aussiemangoes get tagged in images by both high-reaching influencers and the wider Aussie mango-loving community, which is evidence of engaged and passionate followers. Whilst the page will go offline for now, these results are a strong basis for us to kick off the 2016/2017 season on Instagram with a bang.

The Aussie Mangoes Facebook page has also posted its last post for the season, with some of the Australian mango growers filming a short clip to thank the Aussie Mango Facebook community for their support over the successful 2015/16 season.

And what a successful season it has been: the Facebook posts over the entirety of the 2015/16 season have reached over 2 million people, with approximately half a million people engaging with the content! It is this loyal base of engaged Facebook followers that will ensure another successful social season when mangoes re-enter the market for the 2016/17 season in September.

Thank You!

We would also like to take the opportunity to thank all the growers who took the time out of their busy schedules to help out with media opportunities over the 2015/16 mango season. Without your willingness and enthusiasm to speak to the media, and share your wealth of knowledge on the industry, we would not have had such a successful season so a very big 'thank you'!
