Marty's Message

My job is made easy because of the outstanding faculty and staff who make up CPS.

I am in awe of the experiences and expertise of our faculty and staff, the quality of their professional presentations, the books and articles they write, the care for our students and dedication to teaching, and their involvement within our community.

Last week alone, three of our interior architecture faculty members thoughtfully presented a year-long assessment and analysis of student learning related to the design process. Maggie Beeber was honored for outstanding advising by Phi Eta Sigma and Prof. Maysee Herr's work with local Hmong families was highlighted. Susan Turgeson received the Leader Award from her state association and Judy Yenter was presented the Sargis Award which is the highest honor a classified employee can receive.

Our CPS people constantly come to me with great ideas, and I almost never say no. I trust them. Most often I simply shake my head yes and then sit back and watch great things happen.

Marty Loy,
Dean
