Hello
Herewith some recent updates: reviews of new releases, sale offers and some info relating to upcoming performances.
REVIEWS
It has been deeply gratifying to see recent releases met with such enthusiasm and warmth. The response to Fovea Hex's Salt Garden 1 has, in particular, been incredible...
"The superlatives left to describe this unique chamber ensemble are fast running out... Always an unmitigated pleasure" Igloo
"They continue to redefine borders and create their very own musical landscape." AmbientBlog
"It's so intense and ridiculously beautiful that it almost hurts." Subjectivisten
"A captivating, achingly stunning suite of music" Brainwashed
Similarly, Let The Cold Stove Sing has met with some kind words (and more soon to follow, I hear)
“Let the Cold Stove Sing is moody, introspective and gravitational. It’s a more restrained album than we’re used to hearing from Michael Begg (Human Greed), but it may be his best."
A Closer Listen
"Mr Begg feels like an unstoppable force"

PERFORMANCE NEWS
Michael Begg has been commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland to compose and perform a new work. Provisionally entitled The Moon Lights Itself, the work is to be performed in Edinburgh's Royal Scottish Academy as part of the major exhibition, Inspiring Impressionism. Details will emerge closer to the summer, but the performance is scheduled for September 2016.
A unique distillation of Fovea Hex will be appearing at this year's Geräuschwelten Festival, in Münster, Germany, on May 7th, as Clodagh Simonds and Michael Begg take to the stage, with Colin Potter mixing. More details can be found on the Aufabwegen website: http://www.aufabwegen.de/events/?p=1071
Thats all for now. Thanks - again and always - for the interest and support you have accorded this work. Keep it coming.
All Best,
Michael B
