"Sheridan, you've done it again!  You created an amazing adventure that showcased both the natural and cultural beauty of Baja Sur.  I will carry the memories of listening to humpback whales singing and petting gray whales for the rest of my days."

Peru Discovery

Trip Highlights: Machu Picchu - Known as the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu remains the most well-known symbol of their Empire. The city was built in 1460 AD and avoided destruction by Spaniards due to its isolation in the Andes.   As centuries passed, the fortress became overgrown by vegetation, and virtually disappeared from sight. Hiram Bingham rediscovered Machu Picchu in 1911 and the site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. Since then, it has become known as one of the Wonders of the World.
Cusco: UNESCO World Heritage Site considered the historical capital of Peru. Radiant by day, Cusco’s main square dresses itself up at night with soft yellow lights illuminating the Cathedral’s facades. Developed under Incan rule in the early 1200s, Cusco is now a thriving city, but visitors can still discover remnants of the city’s ancient past.
