NEWS MONITORING
Every month, learn more about our Benefactor members.
In this issue, we talked with Eric Stéphany, Dean of IAE Montpellier:

Can you tell us about IAE Montpellier?

IAE Montpellier is a University School of Management, delivering Master’s degrees based on a double skill training (managerial and scientific background). The diversity of student profiles has always been the originality, the strength and the specificity of IAE Montpellier.

What is the mission of IAE Montpellier?

Our core mission is educating students to acquire a double skill or to support them into a career change, adding an advanced training in management and business to their initial degree. The variety of students’ profiles, mostly engineers and science students, has always been a distinctive feature of the IAE.

And what are the other specificities of your school?

Internationalization is an integral part of our activities. Since 2012, IAE Montpellier has been developing its partnerships with companies and Universities all over the world particularly by creating joint degrees with Universities in Asia (Thailand, Taiwan), South America, Azerbaijan, Australia, and Russia.

What are your international goals?

We want to develop partnerships with Universities all around the world having similar or complementary strategies. IAE Montpellier has been awarded EPAS accreditation by EFMD (the European Foundation for Management Development) for a period of 3 years. And we want to obtain more international accreditations like AMBA.

Why did you decide to become a member of the FACCSF?

IAE Montpellier decided to become a member of the FACCSF to strengthen its presence in San Francisco and its relationships with companies of the Bay. Our students’ profiles perfectly match the Bay's area of activities as we provide training in management and business to students with a scientific background. The goal of this membership is to increase our visibility in the Bay community and to link our students to international companies. In Montpellier, our students are enrolled in IT Innovative Projects. Montpellier is one of the first French cities which obtained the “French Tech” label. This label guarantees the innovative orientation of local companies and underlines the synergy between our two territories, along with this membership.
