The Schubert Club announces

ACCORDO Season 8
 

ST. PAUL, MN (May, 2016) - The Schubert Club announces the 2016-2017 season of Accordo, a string ensemble composed of present and former principal string players of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) and Minnesota Orchestra. The group has been named “Best Chamber Ensemble” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and “the dream team of chamber music” by Minnesota Monthly

After five happy years presenting Accordo in mostly sold out concerts at Christ Church Lutheran, the series will move to a bigger venue to accommodate its ever-growing audience. Starting with the 2016-2017 season, Accordo will perform at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Avenue S. at Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis.

Steven Copes, Concertmaster of the SPCO
Erin Keefe, Concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra

Maiya Papach, Principal Viola of the SPCO
Anthony Ross, Principal Cello of the Minnesota Orchestra
Ronald Thomas, Former Principal Cellist of the SPCO

Tuesday, January 24, 2017 • Ordway Concert Hall
Back by popular demand! This special concert will feature original music by Stephen Prutsman accompanied by the screening of cinematic masterpiece Sherlock, Jr. plus a newly commissioned work. Stephen Prutsman will join Accordo as the guest pianist for this presentation.
