April 20, 2016: The Character of God
View this email in your browser

Dear <<First Name>>,

I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. Deuteronomy 32:3-4

What we think about others determines our approach to them. I often hear of people who have to "walk on eggshells" around others because of their bad tempers or poor behaviors. Sometimes we allow an improper view of God's character to keep us from being comfortable in His presence as well. The wonderful act of the cross of Christ is that it removed all misunderstanding about God's love and desire for us to be with Him in His presence.

In this song of Moses, we find these verses that remind me of God's unchangeable character. I simply want to list what I see:

1) He is Great!

2) He is a Rock.

3) His works are perfect.

4) All His ways are just.

5) He is faithful.

6) He does no wrong.

7) He is upright and just.

When I was reading this today, I was reminded of how important it is to my faith to rehearse the character of God so that when the enemy lies to me about something, I can always declare His praise. We praise Him for His qualities. We worship Him for who He is. We thank Him for what He is doing and what He has done.

When you are reading your bible, don't forget to highlight those attributes that reflect the perfect character of God. They will bring you closer to Him.

Here is today's reading.

Wednesday

Love,

Pastor Stuart
