NOAA Fisheries released their 2015 Status of the Stocks report this week and the highlights include:
- Two stocks were declared as rebuilt last year- canary rockfish (Pacific coast) and petrale sole (Pacific coast)
- Three stocks were added to both the overfished and overfishing lists- hogfish (SE Florida), yellowtail flounder (S. New England / Mid-Atlantic), and winter flounder (Georges Bank)
- Different stocks of Chinook salmon, coho salmon, swordfish, and yellowfin tuna were added to the overfishing list
