              Abundant Life Lines
Issue 20, March 2016
Spring has arrived and we are so thankful for the beautiful weather it is bringing.  We will have more opportunities to prayer walk the complexes, pick up trash and meet more residents!  We are excited to get to spend more time getting to know them and to hopefully do life with them.

We continue meeting on Wednesdays with the 3 children for discipleship.  We have seen them growing in their faith and look forward to our time with them each week!

We have been busy working on scheduling our summer mission teams trips.  We are always thankful to have teams who are willing to give of their time and resources to help us as we plant Abundant Life Church!
March Highlights
Lakota Pointe

We finished our series entitled More Than Enough at the end of March.   We are starting a series about dysfunctional families.  We will look at the life of Jacob and discover that God can overcome our dysfunctional pasts and use us for His purpose and that restoration with God leads to restoration with others.

We averaged 22 at our small group at Lakota Pointe in March.  We still have yet to have a male join us but we are hopeful that one day soon we will have our first male resident come to one of the studies!

Once again God used a resident to encourage us and be a blessing.  A woman who lives at Lakota Pointe text us late one evening the following message : "I know that it's late but I was just thinking about how much you have been there for me and my family.  I just want to thank you for your support.  I have been in the hospital again and I just got out.  Thanks for your support and may God bless you always."  God knows just what we need to hear to help us get through times we may not see Him working. Please pray for the residents here to come to small group and desire the hope that we have in Christ!

                Heritagesprings of West Chester

We are blessed to serve at Heritagesprings.  Serving there the first two Sundays is one of our highlights of each month.  We bring a team of volunteers each time so more residents have a chance to come to chapel.  The nursing home usually only has one person who brings the residents to chapel so very few would get to attend if we didn't bring the extra help.  We averaged 39 people in attendance last month. It brings us such joy to bring a smile to their faces and know that we can shine the light of Jesus in their lives.  We are thankful that God opened this door 2 years ago.

           Meadow Ridge       and         North Pointe

We are looking forward to beginning our small group here again in the next few months.  We will be bringing mission teams to hold backyard Bible clubs and help with the summer lunch program. They will alo host block parties in order to have the chance to meet new residents and see who has an interest in attending small groups at the apartment God has allowed us to use for ministry.

We partnered with Pathways Foundation for an Easter breakfast and egg hunt at Meadow Ridge.   We had the opportunity to tell the children (and a few parents) about the resurrection of our Savior and shared the gospel with them.  Lisa led them in a craft to make cross bead necklaces using the beads to explain salvation.  I used the What's in the Bible video followed by a time of interacting with the kids to ensure they understood what they had watched.  There were 30 children who came out for this event and each one of them seemed to really enjoy themselves!
We have a Facebook community page and a website. Please take a moment and check them out.  We would love your feedback!

  • That we would look for, recognize, and create ways to get the Gospel message to the lost people in these multi-housing areas

  • Balancing work, ministry and family
Support our Ministry

We appreciate ALL support for the ministry, we can't do it without the help of others. If you are able to financially support us we would be eternally grateful!!

You can support our ministry in three different ways:

PRAYING

A praying partner commits to praying specifically for my wife and I, our ministry, and our multi-housing residents. Prayer support is vital for us as we serve on the field!

PARTICIPATING
A participating partner commits to becoming involved personally in our ministry. For example, your church may want to send mission teams to assist us or seek to mobilize individuals within your church to be sent as short or long term missionaries as part of our planting team.

PROVIDING

A providing partner commits to supporting our ministry financially. All funds will be handled and deposited by our NAMB strategic partner, Lakota Hills Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Lakota Hills Baptist Church. Be sure to include "Allen Lawless" on the memo line.

Upcoming Events

Small group meetings at Lakota Pointe on May 2 and 16, June 13 from 7:00-8:15 at the Lakota Pointe Rental office.

Core group dinner / Bible study meeting on Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 the Lawless' house.  We are still working on Nobodies for Jesus and are seeing how we need to be more amazed by Jesus and what He has done for us,  If you are interested in joining us let us know and we will order a book for you!
HELP WANTED!

Lakota Pointe
Our small group is growing so we could use some additional people to help with childcare. This does not have to be a long term commitment. Would you be willing to help with even one evening? Would you be willing to be on call in a pinch?
Please consider being part of our childcare team so that the ladies (and hopefully men) can learn truths from God's Word.

Meadow Ridge
We have taken a short break from small groups at Meadow Ridge.  We will resume after we have had a chance to meet more residents and go from there.

Heritagesprings
Do you play an instrument or know somebody that does?We are looking for anyone interested in playing the piano or other instruments during our chapel service the first two Sundays of the month.  We have a rotational schedule and are looking for a minimum of 6 people so that each person only has to commit to 4 chapel services per year!  Your job usually consists of playing two songs during a 30 minute chapel service. This is an easy opportunity for you to use the gifts that God has given you to serve Him.

Please contact Allen or Lisa if you are willing to serve alongside us!
