 Carolina McCready, from El Centro, will speak at our MAY 7 breakfast at 11:15am. As an Appalachian native with Columbian heritage, Carolina has a unique sensitivity in relating and working with the Latino immigrant community of WNC. She has developed community organizing efforts in immigrant rights, environmental conservation, and economic renewal. Over the last 15 years, Carolina has focused her energy in the non-profit sector and serves as Co-Director of the Latino Advocacy Coalition of Henderson County, working to create a more just community for all. She will speak to recent local Latino issues affecting the community. Q and A session will follow. See you there! |
