The 3rd Annual Net Zero Conference, Energy + Water + Waste, is one of the largest net zero events in the country, and the premier SoCal conference dedicated to net zero design. The event has captured the building industry’s momentum toward a net zero future, and doubled in size in its first two years. Verdical Group, the conference organizer, is projecting the conference to double in size again to 600 attendees in 2016.

The Conference includes complimentary registration, parking, and breakfast thanks to the generous support of Southern California Gas Company. Three Continuing Education Units will be available for AIA, USGBC, and LFA credential holders.

Have a LEED project that you haven't yet registered? Starting November 1, 2016 (about 5 months from now) all newly registered LEED projects will be required to register under the more stringent v4 rating system. Contact Verdical Group today to receive a proposal for LEED Project Management services and get your project registered in v3 before the required change to v4.

Municipal Green Building Conference

VG is proud to have partnered with USGBC-LA to deliver another great event. VG was an exhibitor sponsor and VG Founder & Principal, Drew Shula, served as Event Chair for the 15th Annual Municipal Green Building Conference & Expo (MGBCE) and spoke in the main hall to kickoff the event. MGBCE is the largest annual green building event in SoCal and hosted 600+ attendees, 20 exhibitors and 85 speakers this year. Click here to view photos from the event.
UCLA Social Innovation Week
VG Founder & Principal, Drew Shula, participated on a panel moderated by Nurit Katz, UCLA's Chief Sustainability Officer, for UCLA's Social Innovation week with ELP Advisors and Climate Resolve. Panelists discussed the future of LA and making a more sustainable city.
VG Volunteer Day: LA River Cleanup
VG’s Emily Hand, Diana Chen, and Drew Shula serve on the USGBC-LA Greening Committee, a subcommittee of the Greenbuild LA 2016 Host Committee, and helped organize a USGBC-LA contingent to participate in the Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR), Great Los Angeles River Cleanup.The event gathered more than 150 community groups and 9,000 volunteers, who removed an estimated 70 tons of trash from fifteen sites along the LA River. 2016 Living Future unConference
VG Founder & Principal, Drew Shula, attended the International Living Future Institute unConference in Seattle, WA in May. Highlights from the conference included speaker Dennis Hayes (pictured above), President of the Bullitt Foundation, and a tour of the Living Building Challenge Certified Bullitt Center, one of the greenest buildings in the world.
VG Does Escape Room LA!
The VG team did dinner and an Escape Room in Downtown LA. It was a fun night, and hopefully next time we'll escape!
