“On the Road with Migrants”

Beyond the current news headlines, this workshop focuses on giving another perspective on migrants and refugees.

Come and get introduced to a didactic game developed by Caritas. This unique multilingual tool is based on real life stories of migrants and refugees. As you re-live the unique itineraries of these men and women who have come from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, the game allows you to

• develop awareness, understanding and empathy for the situation of Migrants and refugees upon arrival here,

• gain deeper insights on the impact of the intercultural dimension in the relation between migrants and their new country.

Please take note, that the event will be conducted in German.

Who should attend?

• Anyone who works with migrants and refugees on a daily basis such United Nations staff, International organisations staff, NGO and government personnel as well as charitable associations.
• We also invite volunteers working with all of the mentioned organisations and associations, intercultural trainers, translators, university researchers, representatives of the police, medical professionals, journalists and politicians.
• If you are interested in this topic you are also welcome.

We would like to encourage you to

• exchange ideas across stakeholder groups

• share your best practices and

• identify potential areas of joint action and collaboration.
