Applications for Forbes Entrepreneurial Competition Due: 4/18
Full-time undergraduate Hajim School students are eligible to compete in the Charles and Janet Forbes Entrepreneurial Competition by submitting a plan for a technical business. Thousands in cash prizes will be awarded to top teams. Send business plans via email to heidi.mergenthaler@rochester.edu by 4 p.m. Monday, April 18.
NSF I-Corps Cohort III Applications Due: 4/18
Got a technical business idea? Students at any level of study, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to apply to Cohort III of the National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps Site program at the University of Rochester. The program provides entrepreneurial training (two required workshops and biweekly presentation meetings) and modest funding ($1,000 to $3,000 grant awards) to enable teams to transition their technical idea into the marketplace. Cohort III will take place during the 2016 fall semester. Application materials, including an Itemized Financial Plan on how the funds will be used, are due Monday, April 18, at noon via email to matthew.spielmann@rochester.edu. Learn more.

Rochester Teams Advance to Statewide Intercollegiate Business Competition
Eight University teams competed in the 2016 Finger Lakes Semi-Final Presentations of the New York Business Plan Competition, and four Rochester teams were selected to advance to the statewide finals in Albany on April 29 to compete for $500,000 in cash and prizes. Advancing teams include (pictured clockwise, beginning top left):
