Workout. Anywhere.
In my opinion, running and yoga are the perfect combination - kind of like peanut butter and chocolate. Both the act of running and doing yoga can be moving meditations, and both are very good for the soul.
While running builds endurance, yoga builds flexibility, and both build strength. When both yoga and running are parts of your training program, your body becomes strong and fluid. Try doing a few sun salutations before and after your run. See if you notice a difference in your stride and core strength.
In case you missed it, the photo above was taken in the foothills this past Saturday. It was kind of surreal and the snow was gone by the time we finished our 7.5 miles. I warmed my body up with a little yoga post run.
Our workouts this week will again challenge your body and mind.
Tuesday, April 19th, we will do 45 minutes of tough stair climbing at 6:30 p.m. at the Yale parking structure. Come out and get ready for the spring and summer race season!
8-week Yoga workshop begins on Wednesday evening! See you at 212 Tulane at 6:30 p.m.
Start your day off right by joining me at The Remedy Day Spa for a dynamic Vinyasa flow class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m.
And finally, check out yoga at Bike-in Coffee (at the Old Town Farm) every Saturday morning!
Remember - if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
All the Best,
Maya
