"From the Bard to Barnet"
On the exact 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death

"How Shakespeare Wrote My Book"
(even though he died April 23, 1616)

FREE PRESENTATION
Saturday, April 23 - 2 pm
Kansas City Public Library - Westport Branch
118 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO 64111

Join me as we honor the Bard by showing how Shakespeare's concerns about love, art, faith, and mortality shaped the creation of my book of sonnets, "Thanks for Noticing", and how Shakespeare's wisdom can guide our own lives.

Also at this event, I am especially delighted to be able to share with you some remarkable readings of these new sonnets by local actors, friends and lovers of poetry.

Plus, at the end of the program, you will cast your vote for your favorite reader with cash prizes awarded to the top three vote-getters. ($100 First Prize, $50 Second Prize, and $25 Third Prize!

Look for more information about this event in the Preview section of the Kansas City Star on Thursday.

I hope to see you at this informative and entertaining presentation.
And, thanks for sharing this reminder with your friends and colleagues.
Vern
