3 ways you can help the
Frank Bette Center for the Arts today!


Artists want to share their passions by talking about their latest inspirations and be inspired by others, a venue to display their creativity, to learn new skills and techniques, and a place to gather with a community of like-minded people.

At the Frank Bette Center for the Arts, we want the opportunity to rebuild our home to host this creative artist community.   We have made great strides in making city mandated repairs to reopen the Center in the last few weeks.  The electrical issues cited by the city are repaired thanks to a generous donation from Victor Jin Properties.  However, we still have to rebuild the top landing of our outside staircase, redo the venting on the upstairs hot water heater and sink, and file for a “new use” and other permits. So far, we have raised over $12,000 towards our first fundraising goal of $25,000 to reopen the Center.  Once we reopen we must, with your help, get the Center back on its feet and raise additional funds for improvements such as updated electrical service, improved lighting, new heating in our classrooms, etc.

Here is how you can help:
  1. DONATE:   at gofundme,  on our website www.frankbettecenter.org or send a check to Frank Bette Center for the Arts PO Box 1007, Alameda CA 94501.  Join the giving to FBCA on the 24 hour marathon East Bay Gives midnight May 3 to midnight May 4. If you have already donated we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, but also hope you can spread the word to your friends and neighbors to also help us raise the needed fund to repair our building and once again open for classes, programs and exhibits.
     
  2. MEMBERSHIP:  Renew your membership now or join today at Frank Bette Center Membership. Your membership not only gives you discounts on classes and exhibit entries it also sustains our day to day cost of running the Frank Bette Center for the Arts.
     
  3. VOLUNTEER: We need help with our fundraising right now.  When we
    re-open we’ll need gallery minders, a volunteer organizer, facilities help and additional board members (membership director, and facilities director).  Contact us at: Gallery Director if you are interested.
