Stand Adjourned

With the conclusion of the third conference this past weekend in Charlotte, NC, the 2016 Scottish Rite Workshops now stand adjourned.

At each of the conferences in Houston, Phoenix, and Charlotte, the attendees heard from three speakers who addressed the 11 subject areas of the Valley Membership Achievement Project (VMAP) 2016 workbook. At the conclusion of each talk, the speakers  put forth several related questions. Attendees then broke off into smaller groups to suggest ways to improve VMAP based on these questions. The groups then reported their ideas in a larger group session where they were recorded on screen for the benefit of all.

Due to the enthusiastic response from the attendees across all three workshops, we logged a total of 574 ideas! These raw ideas from all three conferences, as well as the speakers’ slide presentations, will be available in PDF format on the VMAP web page by the end of April.

We sincerely thank all those who participated as attendees, leaders, speakers, facilitators, and staff.

VMAP Snapshot: Scottish Rite Education in Lake Charles, LA

VMAP Subject Area 2, Scottish Rite Education for Members, asks Valley members to enroll in one of the Master Craftsman education courses (Tasks A–C). Bro. Tom with his certificate, pins, and jewel for this accomplishment. Pictured l. to r. above are Bros. Jim Golding, KCCH and Bro. Boggan.

*Please note the Master Craftsman Program now comprises three courses. When the program changed last year, students already enrolled in then-SRMC II were allowed to complete it.
