There is so much going on all the time, all around us. It can be overwhelming and make it difficult for us to accomplish things. Focus becomes more and more difficult. It's no wonder children today are growing up with short attention spans; look at what they are bombarded with!
Today, make a commitment to yourself to take a look at each task you have and each person you interact with, to find the few things that are the most significant and important, and to focus only on those. If something grabs your attention, ask yourself what its level of importance is. Allow your awareness to be directed only towards those things that are most significant.
This will take some practice. The more you do it, though, the easier your day will flow. Start trying it today.
