Library Friends

Check out the Friends Second Saturday Sale coming up on June 11! These sales are offered each month from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The first hour is open to members only. Not a Friends member? Memberships  are very affordable and available on our website, at the door on the day of the sale or pick up a membership form at the Welcome Desk the next time you visit the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

Summer @ the Library Kickoff Event

On Saturday, June 18 at 1 p.m., we are kicking off our summer programs for teens and adults! The theme of this year’s summer programming is “Exercise Your Brain!”.  Meet Roary the Detroit Lions' mascot and Benny the Bloomfield Hills High School Blackhawk, while getting all of your Summer @ the Library information. We hope to see you there!

Star Tour: Astronomy for Everyone

On Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m., we will be presenting one of our most exciting programs of the year. On that evening, we will welcome Kevin Manning, a former consultant to NASA, who will give a talk titled Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe. This program, aimed at ages 8 - 100, includes an indoor discussion and, weather permitting, time outdoors looking at celestial objects through a powerful telescope! Registration is required and will begin on Monday, June 16. 

Adult After-Hours Mystery: Art Heist!

You are cordially invited for an evening of mystery and intrigue at the library! On Friday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m., you should definitely wear your walking shoes as you will be searching for clues for a missing painting! Join us as we try to become super sleuths and crack the case! Refreshments and prizes are part of the fun. Registration is required and will begin on Monday, May 16.

Coffee & Conversation

As spring turns to summer, why not take an opportunity to begin friendships with some new people?  The Library offers you the opportunity for "Coffee & Conversation" on the third Friday of every month.  On May 20, June 17, and July 15 stop by the Library at 10 a. m. for a cup of java and the opportunity to chat with some great and interesting people. See you there!
