SAF Lecture Herman Miller's Iconic Modern Designers Presentation by Lisa Hubbs, Herman Miller
Herman Miller has a rich history of partnering with some of the world’s most respected designers of modern furniture. Join SAF for a presentation by Lisa Hubbs highlighting the creative design of key designers including Charles and Ray Eames, Isamu Noguchi, Alexander Girard and George Nelson. Learn not only about their outstanding contributions to iconic modern furniture design, but also that of architecture, painting, and sculpture. Lisa Hubbs is the Senior Retail (National) Sales Manager for Herman Miller’s retail business in US and Canada since 2009. She's passionate about great design and proud to share Herman Miller’s continued contributions to modern design everywhere we live, work, and play. She resides in West Michigan, where Herman Miller has been handcrafting furniture since 1905.

Join SAF for the film screening of "A Girl is a Fellow Here", about the legacy of 100 women architects and designers who worked with Frank Lloyd Wright. Using the film as a catalyst, moderator Anne-Marie Russell (executive director of the Sarasota Museum of Art, a division of Ringling College of Art + Design), with architects Joyce Owens, Tatiana White and Selma Göker Wilson discuss the challenges and endeavors for women in the architecture profession.
