Coaches Message

Coach Dan and Coach Rachael would like to extend a huge thank you to those that attended and those that worked so hard on the Gala, it was a wonderful success!  It was terrific to see past and present swimmers come together in the same room. A lot of work but it was well worth every minute!

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS

Group Learning

For ALL club parents and swimmers
April 29, 2016 at 6:00pm in fitness studio 2, Kathy Eggenberger, a well respected physiotherapist in Peterborough is generously giving us her time to host an educational session. All are encouraged to attend. There will be pizza provided for swimmers. This is open to ALL groups. Check out this link for more info

Swimmers of the Month

AG1 Sophie Kidd. Sophie has been a fantastic swimmer to coach. Sophie was always willing and wanting to use stroke corrections and feedback to improve her strokes. When it was time to race or swim fast in practice Sophie was always ready to be fast. Sophie always wants to improve and is ready every practice to challenge herself so she can improve.

AG2 Hanna Gazzard has 100% attendance for the month of April, and at only 11 years old knows that although practice can be hard, it’s also a rewarding feeling to know that she’s done her best in each practice. She’s a strong communicator, motivator and has a good sense of humor but moreover, deserves recognition for her hard work!

AG3 Mackenzie Garside has also had 100% attendance for the month of April; it is no surprise that although she has just moved up to AG3, she has already been leading her lane and keeping up with the “old AG3’s”. Her work ethic, attitude and smile is motivating to the group and coach, I think we’ll keep her around

Festival of Spring
Parents and swimmers, to date we have had 41 swimmers sign up for the Festival of Spring meet in Nepean and are awaiting confirmation from the meet manager that all 41 can be accommodated.  Originally Trent was only approved for 32 entries from the meet manager as they were hoping to avoid oversubscription issues experienced last year.  This is the meet manager's responsibility and role.  If we are confirmed with our 41 submissions, we will proceed with the swimmers and events as tentative published on the Trent website.  If not, we will go with the first 32 confirmed on the website as indicated in previous communications.  At the time of printing for this newsletter, we still don't have confirmation of our entries thus the startlist remains tentative.  We thank you for your patience.
