Welcome to our latest e-bulletin!

We now have a network of over 160 SkillShare Partners from all walks of life with a wealth of skills and experience reflecting almost all professions. There are many skills that you can tap into.

FIVE skills that you can access through our SkillShare Partners
(but we have many more!):
1.    Project management
2.    Marketing
3.    Accounting
4.    Website design
5.    Legal advice

The common purpose among our SkillShare Partners is the desire to give freely of their expertise.  It’s a great way to match them to the hundreds of organisations doing amazing work in communities across Cheshire West and Chester!

If you are a business and would like to share your skills to help a local charity, or if your charity/voluntary group would like to be matched with a local business, please contact us.

We are very excited to be helping their employees engage in volunteering so that they can have maximum impact in the community.

Employer supported volunteering provides real benefits to all of those involved in the process from the employer, the employees and community organisation that they support. If you would like to know how your organisation can benefit from ESV, you can read more here

new skillshare partners

Every day we are lucky enough to meet local business people who are keen to share their skills and become SkillShare Partners.  Two of our new partners told us why they want to share their skills:

Adele Law, OES Consulting:  â€œI decided to become a SkillShare Partner with CVA because I want to give more local charities the opportunity to attend my workshops, so they can access the time and cost saving techniques used by the business world. I want to help charities make sure that as much of their hard-earned funding and the time given by volunteers as possible are used to directly benefit the people they support, instead of being swallowed up on administration”.  http://www.oesconsultancy.co.uk/

Andrew Banks, Life Architecture. “I am a Chartered Architect with over 25 years’ experience providing architectural services.  Life architecture ltd provides architectural services over a wide range of sectors and current projects include residential, ecclesiastical, health care and commercial projects.  As a SkillShare partner, I am keen to assist in the community while providing a good networking opportunity” www.lifearchitecture.co.uk

trustee opportunities

Would you like your skills & experience to make a positive difference in the communities that matter to you? Does your charity need more Trustees?

Becoming a trustee of a charity is a great way to develop a deeper understanding of local issues, and research shows that an individual’s well-being can improve when they are more engaged in their community.

We have many Trustee opportunities to choose from.  You can search for local Trustee roles here:

If you are a CVA member and you want us to promote your Trustee  opportunities, please fill in the form at http://www.chesterva.org.uk/volunteer-role-form/
