Volunteer Corner

Volunteers are extremely important to Better Days!  If you are interested in helping Better Days by providing support for resident care, facilities maintenance, our thrift stores or fundraising, please visit the volunteer section of the website.  This month, meet Pat!

Over the last several years, Pat devoted her available free time to looking after the dogs in Better Days Animal League's care and has always shown compassion for our residents at the shelter as well as her own furry friends. 

Pat now focuses on assisting with our much needed fundraising ... she has actively participated in the Valentine's Memorials, Spaghetti dinners, Safe Haven Stables, bake sales, and many more!  on more than one occasion, she has even been known to recruit family and friends! 

Pat certainly understands the important role fundraising events play in maintaining the health and well-being of our animals.  Since we have many seniors still awaiting adoption (like Auburn who has been waiting for over 8 years), in addition to those who may spend the rest of their days as our resident sanctuary dogs, our veterinary expenses can be very different than that of other organizations.

We depend on volunteers such as Pat to make BDAL events successful ... and with summer quickly approaching, we are entering prime fundraising season.  Maybe you'd consider helping with an event, check out our website for upcoming events ... we'd love to have you volunteering along side of Pat!
