Church Board Update
The board met Tuesday, April 19th. Below is a brief update from the board.
Thank You
As we celebrate all that God has done in our church and our lives over the past year I would like to express a massive thank you to my fellow board members, our faithful ministry leaders, our dedicated volunteers, and to this beautiful congregation. The Lord continues to lead us through a season of transition and you have answered His call to minister, serve, encourage, and support His church. Thank you so much. Please pray for Skyview as we begin this new church year. Pray for Pastor Stuart, Ruthanne, Lauren, Luke, and Alanna - particularly as they enter a season of sabbatical. Pray for the board, ministry leaders, and volunteers. Pray that God would pour out his Spirit on our community and that we would experience His transformational love in ever deepening ways as we walk in relationship with Him and each other.
Board Transition
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to those board members who will transition off the board this year. Candi Tiegen, Jonathan Tweedle, and Trent McDowell have each blessed the board with their wisdom, grace, and desire to serve Christ. Thank you so much and may you be blessed in your future endeavours. As the new church year begins we are delighted to welcome Laury Scheerschmidt and Steven Kapetyn to the board as they commence a 3 year term as well as Ryan Herbert, our NYI Coordinator, who will join the board for a term of one year. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s guidance, wisdom, insight, unity, and grace to those in leadership at Skyview.

Skyview Stories
In May we will be continuting 'Skyview Stories' on May 1st! This is an opportunity for us to share with one another what God is doing in our lives. On the first Sunday of each month there will be space during the service for people to come up and speak of what God has been teaching them, to tell of something they are grateful for, to offer an encouraging word, or to speak of where they have seen God lately. We all have stories to share, and we help to build up the church when we share them! Please consider sharing yours.
We continue to be in need of set-up help!
We need two or three people willing to help on the fourth Sundays of each month with the unloading of our truck and set-up of chairs. If you are not able to help monthly we are also looking for a team for those odd months with a fifth Sunday. If you are able to join one of these teams, please contact the church office or speak to Pastor Stuart or Melaina directly.
