NEWSLETTER MAY 2016

News from Cultural Children of Europe (CCE)
Kulturprinsen hereby represents the first official newsletter from CCE, which currently occurs only in English version. Going forward, we expect to send CCE newsletters in Danish and English.
CCE is slowly flowering on the Nordic / Baltic level. After kick off in Viborg DK in early January 2016, the next 2 months February and March were very focused on writing the project applications to complete the external financing of the project's various activities.
Nordic Council
In Nordic / Baltic terms the Nordic Council program Nordplus Adult is applied for development and mobility support. The main point of this application will be to develop a continuing education course in action learning focused on pedagogs, teachers, artists and cultural operators based on the activities that occur in the project in the Nordic / Baltic countries. We know from Nordplus if CCE gets granted in early June.
EU-application
In a wider European context according to CCE, Kulturprinsen has made an EU application towards the Erasmus + program. Here is the main point to further develop the Nordic / Baltic education course in action learning with further involvement of the two new partner countries Portugal and Turkey to create greater experience from Central Europe.

Both countries are also going to work with pedagogs, teachers, artists and cultural operators around 0-8 year old children's institutional lives. But also coupled to the extra obstructions: Focusing on children with special needs. This is because the Erasmus + does not support an existing project (CCE) but requires a new and distinctive focus. For this reason, the EU project has got its own title: Art EQUAL (AE).

In addition to Portugal and Turkey also Sweden, Iceland, Latvia and Denmark in the EU project with special focus on 0-8 year old children with special needs. We know from the EU if Art EQUAL gets granted in the month of August.
Instruktion in action learning
Kulturprinsen has done a lot of action learning instructions in the institutions involved in the 5 participating Danish municipalities so that everyone involved is prepared to work with the project's common methodology. Kirsten and Ulla from Kulturprinsen are the 2 outgoing forces according in giving instructions in action learning.

Action learning also takes place in the Nordic / Baltic countries. Ulla and Kirsten have been visiting Riga in Latvia and dates are planned in both Norway, Sweden and Iceland. These local instructions in action learning will be followed by a seminar in Denmark in the autumn.
Important dates
Please take notice of the following important dates according to CCE and AE:

  • The 5th-6th of October 2016: Seminar in action learning in Denmark. If we obtain funding from the Nordplus Adult program, it will be possible for 2 participants from each country to travel to Denmark and attend the seminar paid for by the CCE.
  • The 14th-15th of November 2016: Kick off in Art EQUAL. If we obtain EU funding for AE, there will be Kick off for all participating countries in Denmark with 2 participants from each country paid for by the project.
  • The 16th-17th of November 2016: Nordic / Baltic midway conference in EK In Denmark.

Even if we manage to get success with our funding applications, it will in any case be relevant, trying to raise alternative / locale funding for the above events in Denmark. So please be very attentive on local opportunities for raising your own funding giving more people the possibility to join the activities.

In a very short time we are ready to give all CCE joining institutions your own login for the CCE website. Giving you the opportunity to upload materials from your local CCE activities sharing with each other.

On behalf of Kulturprinsen
