Cancer Australia Supporting People with Cancer Grant

BTAA has partnered with Cancer Australia to develop a range of information resources to help brain tumour patients improve the health and quality of life outcomes for people from culturally linguistically and diverse communities.

During its first year, the project will identify and commence translation of identified resources suitable for at least five major culturally and linguistically diverse groups in Arabic, Greek, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese and Easy English.

In its second year and third years, the project will extend the range of languages to five others identified through consumer and health professional consultation.

The project will also develop a suite of video patient/family/carer stories in other languages.

The project is led by BTAA Secretary, Tricia Berman. Please contact Tricia at btaa@shout.org.au if you would like to take part in consultative meetings to identify the best resources for brain cancer patients, their families, and caregivers.

To make a donation see the options here.

If you are thinking of running in one of the major runs this year please consider running for BTAA. Find us on the Everyday Hero Channel. City to Surf race registration opens on April 20, 2016. $25 enables us to provide a pack of information to a newly diagnosed adult and their family. $75 enables us to provide a paediatric pack, including a small gift for the child and any siblings.

BTAA will be represented at the three free forums in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne and look forward to meeting many of you there.
