ZED NELSON - PHOTO EAST EXHIBITION
We are proud to have printed part of the new PhotoEast photography festival in Suffolk which runs from 24th May - 25th June 2016. This is a new photography festival to showcase contemporary photography under the theme 'Of Time and Place' and will include exhibitions, talks, workshops and events. Located in Ipswich and Halesworth the hope is that it becomes and annual event attended by many.
Touch printed Zed Nelson's THE FAMILY series of images. He has been photographing the same family for a quarter of a century. The inspiration for the project came when ” the wife of a friend was nine months pregnant, and I had an idea – based on time-lapse photography – to photograph them together, on the same day every year, forever. I planned the shoots in a formal, almost scientific way. Every year, at the same time, against the same backdrop, under the same lighting. This way there are no distractions, only the miracle of growth and the changes of time and age.”
For touch it was a chance to utilise our newest unique printer setup with pure B&W carbon pigment inks. We believe we are the only UK company offering this service for large format prints using 8 shades of custom carbon neutral inks on Harman FB paper. The results are stunning, with great depth and clarity to the prints, and a neutral consistancy unseen with normal colour inks. These carbon archival inks from Germany also allow a small degree of control in the final warmth or tone in the image to come very close to traditional BW darkroom printing.
It was also a lovely chance to review the work as a whole, we have been scanning and working on the images each year for over a decade!

We had the pleasure of printing Tim Walker's images as large fine art archival pigment prints for the National Portrait Gallery exhibition celebrating 100 years of Vogue.

Touch has been working closely with Polly Penrose for a few years now, and we were delighted to print her new exhibition '10 Seconds' that runs at the Hoxton Gallery on the 6th - 8th May 2016. Over 20 large scale prints were made here at Touch as Archival Pigment Prints. More information about her work at www.pollypenrose.com. Exhibition is at 59 Old Street, London. EC1V 9HX.
STUDIO HIRE AT PERSEVERANCE WORKS
We have access to 5 photographic studios (covering 10,000 sq ft of shooting space) directly on site through JJ Locations. All connecting back to our retouching suites via a 100Mb fibre link. This gives some great options if you are in the need for urgent same day retouching, certified cmyk proofing, client approval(s) or desire a complicated on set retouch or dedicated team of retouchers available during the shoot. If you are shooting in one of the studios at Perseverance Works and are in need of super fast certified cmyk proof please call us on 0207 7298586 and Kim will organise. Normal turnaround time 2hrs subject to quantitiy and size required.
We are able to securly link up our network with a chosen mac on set to allow super fast transfer of RAW files during or after the shoot.
