We write you, for the first time together, as the leadership team of the Parliament of the World’s Religions – as the newly elected chair of the Board of Trustees (Rob) and the recently appointed Executive Director (Larry).
We first want to thank you for what you each of you have done - and are still doing - on behalf of the Parliament, and to express our gratitude to those women and men who have provided leadership in the past. We stand in solidarity with you and in continuity with the vision of our earlier leaders.
In a world full of division, injustice, and dangerous exploitation of our planet, the Parliament works to unite people of faith and goodwill to help confront the ills so present in our world. Our mission, which drives our work and guides our future, says it best: to cultivate harmony among the religious and spiritual communities, and to work with other organizations, institutions, and movements for the interrelated causes of peace, justice, and sustainability – locally, nationally, and globally.
We must have your help, your partnership, your support in bringing renewed vigor to our shared mission and work.
