Kyrie' Redding graduated from Oglethorpe University. She joined our programs at age 7 and has been a part of summer camp and our youth program. She has worked as an after school SCM teacher for the last three years. We are so happy for Kyrie' receiving her degree in Sociology and Psychology.
Bianca Smith started SCM's after school program and camp when she was 7 years old. The first picture is from a previous newsletter when Bianca was featured for her love of reading -- and her desire to read the Bible. Bianca will attend Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana in the fall. She hopes to become a pediatrician!
Quentaviuos Monday started SCM programs when he was 9. He has participated in summer camp, basketball teams, flag football teams, job training and teens outings. He was awarded a full football scholarship to Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Here he is signing with Southern University.
Kenneth Smith has been a part of our job trainee program. Kenneth is looking for work so
that he can help his mother who is very ill and help take care of his siblings. He hopes to one day
go to college.
Ashley Webb was a part of SCM's after school program and summer camp since the age of six.
Here is Kennon Tucker at age 11. Kennon has been attending SCM's summer camp since he was 9 years old. He joined our teen job training program at age 16.

Anna Winter's son, little William Winter, chose to have his party guests donate supplies and snacks to SCM's programs! Thank you William for having a huge heart to help inner city Atlanta kids!!
SCM is thankful for "Sweet Sally Phillips"! At Sally's special birthday gathering, Justina was able to speak and share the mission of SCM with about 30 women that are near and dear to Sally. Sally also expressed how much she loves the work that she and her husband Jim have partnered with us to do in the inner city of Atlanta. She insisted that her friends and family give whatever they would have spent on a gift for her to SCM!
Thank you Ms Sally for this selfless act of kindness and support for our ministry. We love you!

PLEASE Support Summer Camp 2016
This program is around the corner. We need YOUR help! We expect to serve 60-65 kids and hire at least 10 teens and college students. Summer Camp will begin on June 6, 2016. Along with Bible study, enrichment activities, field trips, and participating in fun activities, we feel compelled to implement an age appropriate curriculum addressing gangs, drugs, alcohol and guns. Our kids are facing these issues more and more and we want them to be aware and to have strategies to stand strong against these difficulties.
