EFG | Workshop and summer Council meeting
The Portuguese Association of Geologists (APG) invites you to its 40th Anniversary and the EFG Workshop “The importance of geological knowledge for sustainable land use” that will be held on 19 and 20 May 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Subsequently, the 71st EFG Council Meeting is scheduled for 21 and 22 May.

A PERC training course on “Best practice for Assessment and Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves” will be held on 15 June 2016.

MICA website now available: The H2020 funded Mineral Intelligence Capacity Analysis (MICA) project brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts from natural and technical sciences, social sciences including political sciences, and information science and technology to ensure that raw material intelligence is collected, collated, stored and made accessible in the most useful way corresponding to stakeholder needs. Geological Boot Camp

The Geological Boot Camp provides participants with an overview of integrated play modelling as typically used for exploration and development of georesources. Geological models of a key area in the southern Pyrenees will be constructed almost directly at an outcrop face. Most of the input data required will be measured directly at the outcrop while the remaining data will be supplied in the form of seismic sections and well logs. It is a great opportunity for students and young professionals who have not been on the field and not had the opportunity to work in real situations to bring geological theory into practice together. | Read more
