Notes from the President

 

                                     XV AIMC CONGRESS
 
                

                                   "The Mosaic in Contemporaneity"
                                  May 18 - 21, 2016 -Spilimbergo, Italy
 
Dear AIMC members and friends,

Time flies and brings us closer to the inauguration of the XV AIMC Congress and international exhibition.

The preparations which started many months ago are complete. Our host, the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, worked very hard and has done their best to guarantee a unique Congress and many events of great interest.

More  than 110 participants from 28 countries will meet at Spilimbergo  and attend the Congress. Forty speakers will make presentations and 68 members will exhibit their works at the Palazzo Tadea in the Piazza Castello.  You can find the schedule of the presentations here and the list of participating artists here 

The Congress will take place  close to the Scuola, at the GRAND HOTEL PRESIDENT (Sala Convegni -Conference Hall) Via Cividale n° 10, 33097 Spilimbergo (Pn) - tel. +39 0427 51002 www.grandhotelpresident.it.

There will be simultaneous translation in Italian and English, the official languages of the Congress.

We welcome your submissions to the AIMC Newsletter.  Please use the Submission Form, available here. The deadline for submissions is by the 20th of each month. 
Submission prerequisites:
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you submit.
  • Send up to 3 photos of the work, invitations or other documents you want to attach to your news. 
  • Everything should be in PNG or JPG format, or a Word document.  PDF's cannot be used and if we try to convert them, the content may become corrupted. 
  • Each document or photo should be less than 1 MB in size.  
  • Please keep the description of the event brief, up to 500 characters. Bigger texts will be included as attachments.
  • The newsletter is published in Italian and English. Please provide us with translations of bigger texts.  Again, you are responsible for the accuracy of the translations.
  • Please note that if your news covers a continuing event running over several months, we will republish the same item in only up to 3 successive monthly newsletters.
