Stanford 125: A Visual Exploration
Stanford 125: A Visual Exploration will be released in June 2016 and can be pre-ordered until June 1 by Stanford departments. The book tells the story of Stanford in its 125th anniversary year, a remarkable moment in time, through a series of images by noted Magnum street photographer Alex Webb. The photographs were captured over ten days last fall and present Stanford today on a human scale, offering a look inside the university at the moments that animate its daily life.
Stanford organizations pre-ordering the book receive a discounted price of $25 (retail: $29.95) when paying with a PTA transfer. Orders of 20 or more books receive a further discount of 10%. STANFORD CELEBRATES
Birthday in a Box:
Alumni around the world are celebrating Stanford's anniversary. In April, about 70 alumni gathered in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Outrigger Canoe Club for lunch, cake, and to hear from a faculty speaker.
125 at the Oval
In anticipation of springtime, the LBRE Grounds Services crew created a design to reflect the 125th anniversary mark at the Oval. The flowers will be in full bloom in mid-May, which coincides with the anniversary of the laying of the university cornerstone. Read more.
