The annual Art Show, on this week, is special because every child in the school participates, and each child chooses the piece they’d like to display. Please free feel to pop in and view the gallery in Room 3 at the following times:

• Monday 12:00 to 4:00
• Tuesday 8:30 to 4:00
• Wednesday 8:30 to 4:00
• Thursday 8:30 to 5:00
• Friday 8:30 to 11:30  

Reminder: Wilkinson Open House
The annual Wilkinson Junior Public School Open House will take place on Thursday, May 5th from 10.00 to 11:00 am and again from 2:00 to 3.00 pm. This is a great opportunity for our current families to visit the school to meet the faculty and staff. Student Ambassadors will give a guided tour of the school, so please feel free to drop in.

Message from the TDSB: Live Webcast
We are always looking to improve communication with parents across the city. Please join us on Tuesday, May 3 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm as we host our first live webcast for parents/guardians. Please join the conversation.

We will begin the session with a welcome and update on recent developments at the TDSB. This will be followed by a chance for parents/guardians to ask questions. After the webcast, please participate in a short survey about the webcast format and share your thoughts about topics for future sessions.

Reminder: Parent Council Meeting TONIGHT
The next meeting of the Wilkinson School Community Council is on TONIGHT from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the library.* See the agenda to learn what's up for discussion this month. 

Childcare is available upon request. All parents/guardians are welcome, you don't need to be a member to attend.

Movie Night on Friday
Join us in the gym on Friday, May 6 at 7:00 pm for a showing of Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Road Chip. See the movie night flyer for full details. 

Reminder: Learning Garden Clean-up on Saturday
The annual clean-up of the Learning Garden is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and we would love to have your help! Please be prepared to bring your own gloves and tools, and visit the Wilkinson website for more details. 

Refugee Sponsorship Group Meeting
The Wilkinson-St. David's Refugee Sponsorship Group is having an open information meeting at St. David's Anglican Church, 49 Donlands Ave, on Thursday, May 19th from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. 

Ian McBride from the Anglican United Refugee Alliance will update us on our wait for a family.  We will also provide a fundraising update, information about the government-assisted refugee family we are helping through the Welcome Project, as well as information about how you can help us advocate to sponsor a family sooner.
