Park news
Yellowstone bison and grizzly bears have both been in the news lately. The first bison calves of 2016 were spotted this month, but the ongoing culling of bison is still controversial. Grizzlies have been out of hibernation about two months, and the U.S. government has proposed removing the grizzly from the Endangered Species list. You can read some good news about bison in author Janet Chapple's recent blog post, "Yellowstone bison get room to roam at last." If, as we did, you missed the recent extra-long set of free admission days for National Park Week April 16-24 in honor of the National Park Service centennial this year, you have another chance August 25-28, when numerous special events are planned.
Early reviews of our new book

Granite Peak Publications news
Granite Peak Publications will participate in several festivals this year. Here are the ones coming up soon. Through Early Yellowstone will be displayed in the Independent Book Publishers Association booth at Book Expo America May 11-13 and then for the 10,000 fans at the public BookCon on May 14, both in Chicago. We will also be at the second annual Bay Area Book Festival on June 4 and 5. Stop by our outdoor booth if you can get to Berkeley, California, to say hi and see both the new anthology and Yellowstone Treasures!
