Miatas at Myrtle Beach

Miatas at Myrtle Beach was a success. There were about 60 cars from various clubs around the southeast (and a few from Canada). Several members of our club put on the Big Drive on some back roads out in the country. Two GSMC members represented us well in the Car Show in the Clouds. Mack Heniford took first place in the NB Division and Stu Slifkin was Runner Up in the ND Division. Congratulations to Mack and Stu! Click to see pictures.

Pelicans Baseball Game in May

What: Pelicans vs Winston-Salem Dash Baseball Game
When: Tuesday evening, May 17, 2016; gates open 6:00pm; first pitch 7:05pm
Where: Pelicans Ballpark / TicketReturn Field, 21St Ave. North, near Broadway at the Beach, in Myrtle Beach
RSVP: By Tuesday, May 3, with how many tickets you need. Email Paul Davis at paul_sandy.davis@yahoo.com

The Plan: Gather beforehand at 5:30pm at a TBD location at Broadway at the Beach, hand out tickets and then leave at 5:45pm to drive in and park as a group. Everyone is on their own for food and beverage. The ballpark has added to its food and beverage options this year and is promoting more of the Cub's Wrigley Field feeling. The craft beer selections have really expanded - over 15 different brews and 7 serving locations. Our block of tickets will be field box seats behind the backstop.

Paul and Sandy Davis are the organizers of our traditional May event, a Pelicans baseball game featuring two teams in the Carolina League Southern Division. The Pelicans won the league championship last year and this year promises to be another good year for the home team. For our event this year, the game promotion is "Craft Beer Tuesday" ($2 craft draft beer from 6:00-8:00pm). In order to sit together as a group the tickets need to be purchased in advance, typically two weeks. Accordingly, Paul needs to know early who's going so he can arrange the group seating.

Payment Needed in Advance
Tickets are $13 each. Paul needs your check by May 9 so he can buy the block of tickets. At this point there are field box seats available in the sections, behind the backstop on the visitors side. So - RSVP by May 3, send check to arrive by May 9. Make your check payable to Paul Davis and send it here:
