What are some common misconceptions about accounting?  

Assuming that advisory is the only route for people who are interested in working with clients. In audit, we spend a majority of our time out at our client sites. We need information from our clients and we need to work closely with them to get needed information. We also seek to add value to our clients, to continuously improve our processes, and to be creative in our team dynamics and audit solutions.
