Glendale Feeder Ride to CicLAvia

Walk Bike Glendale will lead a group from the Glendale Transportation Center (Metrolink) to downtown LA for the open street event, CicLAvia - Iconic Wilshire Blvd, on Sunday, August 14, 2016. The route features a short segment of the LA River Trail, a winding downhill along the Silverlake Reservoir, and bike lanes on Sunset and Rampart Blvds.http://www.ciclavia.org/

When: Sunday August 14
Time: Meet 8:30am leave 9:00am
Where: Glendale Transportation Center (Glendale Metrolink Station)

CicLAvia heads back to Iconic Wilshire Boulevard on August 14 as Koreatown, MacArthur Park, and Downtown Los Angeles will host the country’s largest open streets event! Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.

-CicLAvia is FREE!
-CicLAvia closes streets to car traffic and opens them for people to walk, skate, bike, play, and explore parts of Los Angeles.
-CicLAvia is not a race! There's no starting point or finish line - begin where you like and enjoy the day your way.
-CicLAvia traffic flows in two directions, just like regular traffic.

Make a difference in your community with Walk Bike Glendale!  

Our monthly steering committee meetings are a great opportunity to get involved with Walk Bike Glendale.  Meetings are open to the public and anyone who is interested in improving conditions for walking and bicycling in Glendale is encouraged to attend. You do not need to be a steering committee member to attend. Meetings are held from 7:00-8:30 the second Monday of the month at the Glendale Arts Community Room located on the first floor of the Orange Parking Garage at 118 W. California Ave.

When you join LACBC and choose Walk Bike Glendale as your local chapter, your donation will supports our mission of making Glendale a place where everyone feels safe to walk and bike.
