Victoria Biedron
Originally from Chicago, I started my journey westward in my early 20’s and moved from the big city to small towns in Colorado. After living in Colorado for 24 some years, I finally made my way further west to lush, beautiful Eugene, Oregon. Although I did not attend formal art school, I’ve always been artistically creative and have had some artsly project going on at all times. Whether it was quilting, jewelry making, sewing or photography, among other interests, I always had my hand in creative ideas.
But, when I discovered the joy of painting, I found my true passion! It had always been a dream/goal of mine to learn how to paint, and after I moved to Eugene the opportunity to learn fell into place. I started my journey dabbling in watercolors, went on to experimenting with acrylics, and then ventured into oils. I love playing with all the mediums, painting plein air and in the studio. Landscapes have been my main focus, as I love painting directly from nature, being inspired by the mood of clouds, the texture of the earth, and the sparkle of Oregon waterways, keeping my paintings fresh and in the moment. The Oregon wetlands are one of my favorite views and I am called to visit and paint them often. I have been painting Plein Air in Oregon since 2005 and love to be outside in the Oregon atmosphere painting what I see and feel.

Brush Tips
Here's a suggestion from one of our members, Sally McCoy. If you know you'll be painting at a site where people go by, you might take along some finished work. When someone saw her painting outside in Yachats, OR, she showed them a finished, framed painting she had in her car, and sold it on the spot! Artists sometimes sell right off their easel, but having a few extra paintings on hand sounds like a great idea, you never know...
Happy Painting!
