It is with deep regrets that we pass on news of the passing of a former member of our Skyview family, Rick Janz. Please join us in our prayers for Rick's wife, Geri, and their daughters, Katie and Emily. A memorial service will be held at
Family Camp - July 31 - August 7
Camp Harmattan (between Olds & Sundre)
Our church denominational annual Family Camp starts today! Many from our church attend for the full week of community spiritual growth, times of worship, activities for all ages, and a great camping experience. Can't make the whole week, why don't you go up for a day, visit with people and take in the services?
Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Saturday July 30: pre-camp Slo Pitch Tournament. Come out and cheer on our Skyview team led by Bob Straiton.
- Monday August 1: Shirley & Merle Ewing are hosting a Skyview potluck lunch for anyone to drop by their Site G3. Hot dogs & hamburgers provided.
- Daily: morning worship at 10:00am with Doug Hardy; evening service at 7:00pm with Stan Toler
Our Children's Ministry is greatly enjoying their ongoing weekly summer VBS program!
All children ages 3-grade 6 are welcome! Join us as our children learn about Gratefulness, Forgiveness, Confidence, Patience, Honestly, Contentedness, Generosity, and Obedience through stories, games, crafts, and more!
We still have room for volunteers to get involved! If you'd like to tell a story, bring a snack, or just help out please speak to Melaina Graham or Carol Henderson!
Please note that our nursery will continue to run as usual through the summer!
Skyview Stories
Skyview stories will continue on
August 7th. This is an opportunity for us to share with one another what God is doing in our lives. On
the first Sunday of each month there will be space during the service for people to come up and speak of what God has been teaching them, to tell of something they are grateful for, to offer an encouraging word, or to speak of where they have seen God lately. We all have stories to share, and we help to build up the church when we share them! Please consider sharing yours.
