Hi Kids and Parents!

We are well into the Three Weeks, which means that now is a GREAT time for Moshiach to come! So we're very excited to meet you all LIVE at Tisha B'Av Camp 5776, taking place in the Beis Hamikdash!

Save the Date!
Sunday, Yud Menachem Av 5776
(August 14, 2016)
2:00 - 6:00 pm, EST

Katchkel is busy making brand new videos, games, and stories to make this year, our sixth year, Shnas Hakhel - 5776, the best ever!

As usual, Tisha B'Av Camp takes place in the Beis Hamikdash, exact location to be decided by the Leviim - just ask a friendly Levi for directions. If chas veshalom the Beis Hamikdash has not yet been built, Tisha B'Av Camp will start online, in a virtual classroom, and relocate to the Beis Hamikdash as soon as possible.

A camp supply list will be emailed to you a few days before camp IY"H.

Please be part of making Tisha B'Av camp fantastic! Send in pictures of campers for the grand welcome slideshow. Don't forget to include where you're from! You can send them by replying to this email, or use this handy form:

Tisha B'Av Camp FAQs

Are my kids the right age?
Every kid is different! We don't guarantee that your kids will be glued for the full four hours (even with scheduled exercise breaks), but hopefully they'll enjoy parts of it. Some very young children only like when Katchkel is talking, some just want to come to the computer for the video parts, and even some adults find Tisha B'Av camp a welcome educational distraction from the long fast! Feel free to try, and leave whenever you're done.

Is there any problem of Kol Isha?
No, don't worry. Katchkel doesn't sing :-)

Can I invite my friend?
Of course! Feel free to forward this email to anyone you'd like, or have them sign up themselves to receive updates.

Do you have a European/Australian time slot?
We've tried to make a pre-recorded version available, but for technical and logistical reasons, it hasn't happened yet. You never know, this year might be different! :)

(On request we can send you links to videos from past years and maybe a few from this year too, to provide some Tisha B'Av entertainment.)

Do we have to pay for this?
No, Tisha B'Av Camp is a free project of Chitas for Kids. If you enjoy it, it will definitely be appreciated if you sponsor a day, week, or month of Chitas emails; sign up for a paid Week in Advance subscription; or make a donation.

Who does this?
Tisha B'Av Camp is a group effort, coordinated by Chitas for Kids.

Special thanks go to the Shluchim Office, who have made Tisha B'Av Camp possible for the past 5 years, by generously providing use of an Online School classroom, ad-free video hosting service, and technical support.

Thanks also go to JEM for making their videos of the Rebbe on Tisha B'Av freely accessible, Bubby for her puppets, and the Chitas for Kids junior team for their participation and cooperation.
