Novitas Solutions (Medicare) to Eliminate Dial-Up Connectivity Novitas Medicare has announced as of October 24, 2016 they will no longer support dial up claim transmissions for electronic claims or retrieving ERAs. If your office is still sending electronic Medicare claims direct to Novitas Medicare using a modem, you must begin your Provider Complete transition now to avoid any lapse in claim submission and ERA reports.  The enrollment must be completed no later than September 1, 2016.  Please visit the Enrollments page on www.sticomputer.com and select the option for "Provider Complete and Electronic Patient Statements" to find the applicable enrollment form. MedXpress or Novitasphere users will also need to transition to Provider Complete.
Calling Patients Is a Thing of the Past - There is no longer a need to lose valuable staff time making appointment reminder phone calls. Over 75% of calls go to voice mail or answering machines. A personalized reminder message is more effective than manual dialing without the loss of valuable time. Our Patient Reminder Module will decrease “no shows” and improve your bottom line. Our low monthly fee and hardware-free installation make it an easy decision!  Learn more on our website or contact us with your interest.
Practice Manager Tip of the Month - Do you dread updating multiple family member's information when a patient moves?  Then start using the "Family Links" button to save yourself time and frustration.  Family Links allows you to connect family members to each other for instances like this where address information is shared and needs to be updated for all members.  Mom, Dad and three kids? No problem!  Change the information on only one family member and the rest sync.  Voila!  It's like magic!  Read more about this feature on our website.
Capital Blue Cross Changing to Non-Par With Change Healthcare - Effective January 1, 2017, Capital BlueCross will discontinue their Trading Partner agreement with Change Healthcare.  Capital BlueCross will go from a participating to a non-participating insurance carrier status.

There is no change to your office if you have transitioned to Change Healthcare's Provider Complete.  For providers that are NOT submitting claims through Provider Complete, a charge of .48/per claim and .15/per ERA will be incurred.

If your office has not transitioned to Provider Complete, please contact Jen Alfonse in the Practice Manager Support Department at 800-487-9135 for assistance or enroll through our website.
