MA Senate Restores Funding for Opioid Task Force

Thank you to all State Senators, Representatives and community members who helped secure the funding that allows us to continue our work to combat the opioid crisis in Franklin County & the North Quabbin Region.

 
Senate President Stanley Rosenburg, State Senator Benjamin Downing, State Representative Paul Mark, State Representative Susannah Whipps Lee, and State Representative Steve Kulik - your advocacy and the consistent support on behalf of local communities has enabled us to continue our work in Franklin County & the North Quabbin region for another year.

RLC Basics Training

The Western Massachusetts Recovery Learning Community (RLC)  is hosting a shorter version of their BASICS training. This is a great opportunity for service providers, civic leaders, and other community members to learn about where the RLC comes from and the services they provide.

Overdose Prevention Trainings

The Task Force is working with Tapestry Health and the North Quabbin Community Coalition to host a series of opioid overdose prevention and nasal Narcan trainings. These trainings are free and open to all interested community members


Trainings will take place in August and September, and will be held in Greenfield, Orange, Turners Falls, Petersham and Shelburne Falls (TBD).

National Night Out 2016

We had a great time at this year's National Night Out! The Task Force had tables at the Athol, Petersham, and Orange sites with information about substance use disorder, addiction, and prevention.
