I hope you have all been enjoying your summer! Jolkona is preparing for our next cohort of aspiring entrepreneurs the week of August 22nd, 2016. We have two great events during that week and invite you to come meet the young innovators joining us from Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. Many of our mentors, homestay hosts and volunteers will be there too.

FUNights Seattle: Volume 1

FUNights is a global movement where people share their experiences with failure, how they responded, and what they learned. FUNights is now in 143 cities in 53 countries worldwide, and we're super excited for the inaugural FUNights Seattle.
We'll feature 4 Seattle-area speakers telling 7-minute stories about what went wrong and what they learned. You'll also get to check out Optimism's awesome brews, and take the opportunity to talk with presenters, ask questions, network, and share your own fail story in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Jolkona hosts one-week and three-week educational programs and invites social entrepreneurs from emerging countries to Seattle to attend. The program prepares them to hone their business plans, gain valuable insights, and work one-on-one with experts in their field.
These social leaders are dedicated and engaged students and professionals between the ages of 22 and 35, who are all eager to stay with local hosts and experience Seattle culture. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about other cultures and share a little of our own Pacific Northwest culture and hospitality.
